Any Electron Backscatter Diffraction (EBSD) acquisition software not only has to deliver reliable indexing of EBSD patterns, but also must ensure a whole range of additional functionality, such as combining chemical information from energy dispersive X-ray spectrometry (EDS) or controlling the SEM stage to enable large area mapping.
